FAQs
How far in advance should we book?
I take bookings anytime! and have also covered for other photographers in an emergency. Many couples book a photographer months before their wedding, particularly for summer and early fall dates. If your wedding is coming up sooner, it's always worth reaching out to check availability.
What happens if we're uncomfortable in front of a camera?
You are not alone. Most couples tell me this before their wedding day.
My approach focuses on creating a fun and relaxed environment by providing simple guidance when needed so that photographs feel natural rather than forced. I'll help guide you on what to do with your hands, where to stand, or how to pose, and make sure we capture the moments that matter most to you.
How much time should we set aside for portraits?
This depends on your priorities and timeline, but most couples find that 30 to 60 minutes allows for a variety of portraits without taking too much time away from family and guests.
Will you help with our wedding-day timeline?
Yes! Photography works best when it is thoughtfully integrated into the day's schedule. I'm happy to provide photography-based suggestions that coordinate with your ceremony time, venue, and overall plans.
What happens if it rains?
Some of my favorite wedding photographs have been taken on cloudy, rainy days. A little flexibility, a covered location, and a positive attitude can lead to beautiful results.
Do you help keep the day on track?
Absolutely. While I'm not a wedding planner, I've been part of enough events to know when things are running smoothly and when a small helping hand or adjustment can make everyone's life easier. I will literally be following you around all day, so don't be shy! I've got your back :)
What's one thing couples wish they knew before their wedding day?
Build a little breathing room into your timeline. The best moments often happen between the scheduled moments, and giving yourselves a few extra minutes throughout the day can make a big difference.
